The Poco X3 NFC (codename surya) made waves when it launched in 2020, setting a new standard for mid-range smartphones. Famous for being one of the first devices in its class with a 120Hz display, the reliable Snapdragon 732G chipset, and a massive 5160 mAh battery, it remains a beloved device in the development community. Whether your Poco X3 NFC is stuck on the boot screen, bricked, or you just want a clean slate with the official MIUI software, this page has you covered. We provide official fastboot ROMs for Global, EEA, India, Indonesia, and more, plus the popular Xiaomi.eu custom ROM.
Important: Always verify your device codename is surya before you begin. The Poco X3 NFC (surya) is different from the Indian Poco X3 (karna) and the Poco X3 Pro (vayu). Flashing the wrong firmware will hard brick your device.

FAQs
Q1. Is the Poco X3 NFC (surya) the same as the Indian Poco X3 (karna)?
No. Although they share the same chipset and design, the Indian Poco X3 (karna) has a larger 6000 mAh battery and lacks the NFC chip. Their firmwares are not interchangeable.
Q2. Can I flash these ROMs on my Poco X3 Pro (vayu)?
Absolutely not. The Poco X3 Pro is a different device with a more powerful Snapdragon 860 chipset. Attempting to flash surya firmware on a vayu device will result in a permanent hard brick.
Q3. What is the latest official update for the Poco X3 NFC?
The Poco X3 NFC received MIUI 14 based on Android 12 as its last major official software update from Xiaomi.
Q4. The Xiaomi.eu ROM is a .zip file. Can I flash it with Mi Flash Tool?
No, Mi Flash Tool only works with .tgz fastboot packages. The Xiaomi.eu .zip file must be flashed through a custom recovery like TWRP. Relocking the bootloader on Xiaomi.eu is not supported and will brick your phone.
Troubleshooting
- Drivers: If the device isn’t detected, manually install Qualcomm QDLoader and the latest Xiaomi USB drivers.
- Fastboot errors:
- “error: not catch checkpoint” → You have selected the wrong folder in Mi Flash Tool. Make sure you select the main extracted folder that contains the images subdirectory.
- “Anti rollback error” → You are trying to flash an older firmware version than what is currently on the device. Xiaomi prevents downgrading for security reasons.
- EDL mode: This is a last-resort recovery mode for bricked devices. It requires using hardware test points and is not recommended for beginners.
