How to Flash the Firmware
Since this device uses a Spreadtrum (UNISOC) chipset, you will need to use the SPD Upgrade Tool. The firmware file inside the zip is a .PAC file.
- Download and install the Spreadtrum (UNISOC) USB drivers on your Windows PC. You must restart your computer after installation.
- Download and extract the firmware zip file to a new folder.
- Download and launch the SPD Upgrade Tool.
- Click the “Load Packet” button (it looks like a single gear) and select the
.PACfile from the folder where you extracted the firmware. - Turn off your Hotwav Cosmos V8-2 completely. Click the “Start Downloading” button (the play icon) in the tool, then connect your phone to the PC while pressing and holding the Volume Down key.
