How to Flash the Firmware
Since the Hotwav Venus R9 uses a Spreadtrum chipset, you will need the SPD Upgrade Tool and the correct USB drivers. The firmware files are in a .PAC format.
- Download and install the Spreadtrum (UNISOC) USB drivers on your Windows PC. Restart your computer after installation.
- Download and extract one of the firmware zip files above to a new folder.
- Download and launch the SPD Upgrade Tool.
- Click the “Load Packet” button (it looks like a single gear) and select the
.PACfile from the firmware folder you extracted. - Power off your Hotwav Venus R9 completely. Click the “Start Downloading” button (the play icon) in the tool, then immediately connect your phone to the PC while pressing and holding the Volume Down button.
