The LYF F30C, also known as the Jio F30C, is a 4G-enabled smart feature phone that runs on KaiOS. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, it’s designed to bring modern apps and services like WhatsApp and YouTube to an affordable, non-touchscreen device. Despite its simplicity, the phone is known to suffer from a very common and frustrating software issue: getting stuck on the Jio or LYF logo during startup (a “bootloop”). Other issues include dead phones that won’t turn on and general system lag. For owners facing these problems, flashing the official stock firmware is the only definitive solution.
Crucial Safety Warning: This is a Qualcomm-powered device. The firmware must be flashed using the QPST Flash Tool (QFIL). Do NOT attempt to use SP Flash Tool or any other software, as it is incompatible and will not work.

Why Flash the Stock Firmware on Your LYF F30C?
Flashing the official stock firmware is the best way to address the specific, widely-reported issues with this device:
- Fix Bootloop (Stuck on Logo): This is the most common reason to flash. If your phone powers on but never moves past the Jio or LYF logo, a clean installation of any of these KaiOS firmware builds will fix the software loop and allow the device to boot.
- Unbrick a Dead Phone: Flashing the firmware is often the only way to revive an F30C that has become completely unresponsive or “hard bricked” due to a software error or a failed update.
- Upgrade or Downgrade the OS: With multiple versions available, from 2017 to the latest March 2022 build (001-10-40), you can update to the most stable OS or downgrade if a newer version is causing problems.
- Fix System Lag and Freezes: By reinstalling the original, lightweight KaiOS, you can eliminate the lag and unresponsiveness that develops over time from software corruption.
- Remove PIN or Password Lock: A full firmware flash will reset the device and remove any forgotten screen lock.
⚠️ Important Prerequisites
Before you begin, back up any accessible data. This process will completely erase all data from the phone’s internal storage.
- The latest version of the QPST Flash Tool (with QFIL).
- The correct Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 drivers installed on your PC.
