How to Flash the Firmware

This firmware must be installed using the SP Flash Tool. The process involves loading a scatter file. However, due to significant changes between the 2017 and 2018 builds, you must perform a full format.

CRITICAL WARNING: To upgrade from the 2017 firmware to the 2018 version, you MUST use the **”Format All + Download”** option in SP Flash Tool. A standard “Download Only” upgrade will fail and may brick your device. This will erase all data, including the IMEI. Ensure you have an IMEI backup before proceeding.

1. Download and extract your chosen firmware to a new folder.
2. Ensure the MediaTek VCOM USB drivers are installed.
3. Launch the SP Flash Tool software.
4. Load the MT6757_Android_scatter.txt file from the firmware folder.
5. Go to the “Format” tab in SP Flash Tool and select “Format All + Download”.
6. Return to the “Download” tab and click the green “Download” button.
7. Completely power off your Leagoo S8 Pro and connect it to your PC to begin.

Note: During the flash, the `userdata` partition may appear to fail. This is normal due to its large size. Simply disconnect the phone and boot it up; the partition will be repaired automatically.
